tickadoo Terms and Conditions
Your Agreement for Booking Tickets, Tours, and Experiences Worldwide
Last updated: May 2026
1. About This Agreement
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and tickadoo Inc. ("tickadoo", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered at 447 Broadway, New York, NY 10013, United States.
By accessing our website at www.tickadoo.com, using our mobile applications, or making a booking through any tickadoo platform (collectively, the "Platform"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform or make any bookings.
These Terms apply to all bookings made through tickadoo, whether for theatre tickets, Broadway shows, West End performances, guided tours, attractions, sightseeing experiences, or any other event or activity listed on the Platform across our 1,400+ supported cities worldwide.
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
2. Our Role as Intermediary
tickadoo is an intermediary booking platform, not an experience provider. We connect you with third-party experience suppliers, venue operators, tour companies, and ticket providers (collectively, "Suppliers"). We do not own, operate, manage, or control any venue, event, tour, attraction, or experience listed on the Platform.
When you book theatre tickets, tour passes, attraction entries, or any other experience through tickadoo, your contract for the experience itself is with the relevant Supplier, not with tickadoo. We act solely as the technology provider and payment facilitator to process your booking on the Supplier's behalf.
Because we do not control the Suppliers or their operations, we cannot guarantee:
The quality, safety, or suitability of any experience, show, tour, or attraction
That an experience will meet your expectations or match its description in every detail
That a Supplier will honour their stated schedule, venue, or programme
That an experience will not be cancelled, modified, or rescheduled by the Supplier
You acknowledge that any complaints about the experience itself (including quality, conduct of staff, facilities, or health and safety conditions) are matters between you and the Supplier. tickadoo will use reasonable efforts to assist you in communicating with the Supplier but accepts no liability for the Supplier's actions or omissions.
3. Booking Process and Your Responsibilities
When you book tickets, tours, or experiences through the Platform, you are responsible for:
Reviewing all details carefully before completing your purchase, including the experience description, date, time, ticket type, number of participants, any age or health restrictions, and the specific cancellation and refund policy displayed on the product page
Providing accurate information, including your full name, email address, telephone number, and any participant details required for the booking
Ensuring you are eligible to attend the experience, including meeting any age, health, fitness, or identification requirements stated on the product page
Complying with the Supplier's own terms and conditions, including venue rules, dress codes, and codes of conduct
tickadoo is not responsible for bookings made with incorrect information. If you select the wrong date, time, ticket type, quantity, or provide inaccurate participant details, no refund, exchange, or rebooking will be issued. It is your sole responsibility to verify your order summary before submitting payment.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation and refund terms vary by experience and are set by each Supplier, not by tickadoo. The specific cancellation policy applicable to your booking is clearly displayed on the product page before you complete your purchase. Whether you are booking last-minute theatre tickets, advance tour reservations, or attraction passes, the applicable refund terms are always shown before checkout.
By completing a booking, you confirm that you have reviewed and accepted the cancellation and refund policy displayed on the product page at the time of purchase.
Cancellation policies generally fall into the following categories:
Free cancellation — cancellation is permitted up to a stated deadline (e.g. 24 or 48 hours before the experience). If you cancel within the permitted window, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.
Non-refundable / non-cancellable — the experience cannot be cancelled or refunded once booked. This is common for live performances, West End and Broadway shows, time-limited events, and experiences with limited availability. No refund, credit, or exchange will be issued for non-refundable bookings under any circumstances.
Partial refund — some experiences may offer a partial refund if cancelled within a certain timeframe, as stated on the product page.
Where a cancellation window is available, the exact deadline is shown on your booking confirmation. Cancellations must be submitted through your tickadoo account or by contacting our support team before the deadline expires. Cancellations requested after the deadline will not be honoured.
No refund will be issued for:
No-shows or failure to arrive at the stated time and location
Late arrivals where the venue or Supplier denies entry
Bookings made with incorrect details (wrong date, time, quantity, name, or venue)
Failure to download, access, or present your e-tickets or booking confirmation
Voluntary departure from an experience once it has commenced
Dissatisfaction with the experience, unless the Supplier's own policy provides otherwise
Events beyond tickadoo's control, including but not limited to weather, transport disruptions, or personal circumstances preventing attendance
5. Supplier Cancellations and Changes
Suppliers may occasionally cancel, reschedule, or materially alter an experience. If a Supplier cancels a show, tour, or attraction for which you hold a confirmed booking:
tickadoo will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable using the contact details you provided
You will be offered a full refund to your original payment method, or where available, an alternative date or experience
tickadoo is not liable for any costs, losses, or inconvenience arising from a Supplier's cancellation or modification of an experience, including but not limited to travel costs, accommodation, lost time, or consequential losses of any kind.
6. Pricing, Taxes, and Payment
All ticket prices and experience fees displayed on the Platform are in the currency shown at checkout and include applicable taxes and booking fees unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change at any time prior to the completion of your booking. Once you have received a booking confirmation, the price paid will not change.
We accept payment by major credit and debit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout. Your payment is processed securely by our PCI-DSS certified payment processor. By submitting payment, you confirm that you are the authorised holder of the payment method used or have the cardholder's express permission.
Your card will be charged at the time of booking. If your payment is declined or flagged by your card issuer, we are not responsible for any resulting fees charged by your bank or card issuer, and we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
7. Ticket Delivery and Redemption
E-tickets and booking confirmations are delivered electronically to the email address you provided at the time of booking. Most bookings include instant e-tickets that can be presented on your mobile device at the venue. It is your responsibility to:
Provide a valid, accessible email address
Check your inbox (including spam and junk folders) for your confirmation
Download and store your e-tickets in a way that allows you to present them at the venue
tickadoo is not responsible for undelivered emails caused by incorrect email addresses, full mailboxes, spam filters, or other issues outside our control. No refund or replacement will be issued where you fail to access your tickets due to reasons attributable to you.
In some cases, the Supplier may require you to collect tickets at the venue box office or another designated collection point. Where this applies, we will inform you in your booking confirmation. You may need to present valid photo identification, your booking confirmation, and the payment card used for the purchase.
8. Late Arrival and Admission
Admission policies, including policies on late arrivals, are set and enforced by the venue or Supplier. Some theatres, tours, and experiences do not permit late entry under any circumstances. tickadoo has no control over venue admission policies and accepts no liability for denied entry due to late arrival. No refund or credit will be issued in such cases.
9. Disputes and Chargebacks
You agree to contact tickadoo's customer support team before initiating any chargeback, payment dispute, or claim with your bank or payment provider. Our support team is available at tickadoo.com/contact or by emailing support@tickadoo.com and will respond within 48 hours.
We are committed to resolving legitimate complaints fairly and promptly. In many cases, issues can be resolved directly with the Supplier through our platform.
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting tickadoo constitutes a breach of these Terms. Where a chargeback is filed:
tickadoo will submit evidence to your bank or payment provider demonstrating the validity of the charge, including your acceptance of these Terms, the cancellation policy you agreed to at the time of booking, and delivery confirmation of your tickets
If the chargeback is resolved in tickadoo's favour, your bank may apply additional fees to your account
Your tickadoo account may be suspended or permanently terminated
tickadoo reserves the right to pursue recovery of the disputed amount, including any administrative costs and chargeback fees incurred, through a collections agency or legal proceedings
This section does not affect your statutory consumer rights where applicable law provides for dispute resolution through your bank or payment provider.
10. Fraudulent Bookings
tickadoo actively monitors for fraudulent activity. We reserve the right to cancel any booking, refuse service, and permanently suspend any account where we reasonably suspect fraud, including but not limited to:
Use of stolen or unauthorised payment methods
Patterns of repeated chargebacks or disputes
Use of false identity information
Automated or bulk purchasing of tickets for resale purposes
Attempts to exploit promotions, vouchers, or pricing errors
Bookings cancelled due to suspected fraud will not be refunded. We may report suspected fraud to relevant law enforcement authorities.
11. AI-Powered Recommendations
tickadoo uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to help you discover things to do — from personalised experience recommendations and mood-based search filters to curated city guides. While we strive to provide helpful and relevant suggestions, these are generated algorithmically and are provided on an "as is" basis.
AI-powered recommendations do not constitute advice, endorsement, or a guarantee of quality. You should exercise your own judgement when selecting experiences and should not rely solely on automated recommendations. tickadoo accepts no liability for any booking decision made based on AI-generated suggestions.
12. Gift Vouchers
tickadoo gift vouchers are subject to separate terms available at tickadoo.com/terms/vouchers. Gift vouchers are non-refundable, valid for 12 months from purchase, and can be redeemed against any eligible experience on the Platform. Where a booking purchased with a voucher is cancelled within the permitted cancellation window, the refund will be issued as tickadoo credit or a replacement voucher, not to the original payment method.
13. tickadoo+ and Promotional Offers
Certain promotions, membership benefits, or special offers — including discounted tickets and early access to popular shows — may be available from time to time and are subject to their own specific terms. The tickadoo+ promotional terms are available at tickadoo.com/terms/promotion. Promotional offers have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be modified or withdrawn at any time at tickadoo's sole discretion.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
tickadoo's total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with a booking shall not exceed the total amount you paid for that specific booking
tickadoo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of enjoyment, travel or accommodation costs, lost time, or any other consequential losses
tickadoo shall not be liable for any acts, omissions, negligence, or defaults of any Supplier, including cancellations, schedule changes, quality of service, health and safety incidents, or any other matter within the Supplier's control
tickadoo shall not be liable for events of force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, strikes, civil unrest, or any other event beyond our reasonable control
The Platform, including all content, features, and services, is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.
15. Intellectual Property
All content, software, design, graphics, trademarks, and other materials on the Platform are the property of tickadoo or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. "tickadoo" and "What Do You Wanna Doo?" are registered trademarks.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the Platform without our prior written consent. Automated scraping, data mining, or similar extraction of Platform content is strictly prohibited.
16. Account Suspension and Termination
We may, at our sole discretion, suspend or terminate your account and refuse future access to the Platform if:
You breach these Terms or any applicable Supplier terms
We suspect fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
You engage in abusive or threatening behaviour towards our staff or Supplier personnel
You file chargebacks or disputes without first contacting us as required by these Terms
We are required to do so by law or regulatory authority
17. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, available at tickadoo.com/privacy. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR and CCPA. We process personal data strictly for the purposes of completing bookings, delivering tickets, providing customer support, and communicating with you about your orders.
By making a booking, you consent to the sharing of your relevant booking details with the applicable Supplier to the extent necessary to fulfil your booking.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York.
If you are a consumer based in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights afforded to you under the laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.
