Corralejo sits at the northern tip of Fuerteventura, the second-largest of the Canary Islands and the one closest to the African coast. For those who prefer calmer water, the sheltered coves closer to the town centre offer gentler swimming, and the sea temperature rarely drops low enough to discourage a dip even in January.
