This 2-hour experience combines a guided tasting of 4 Chianti wines with a multi-course Tuscan dinner at a villa estate in Barberino Tavarnelle, in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region. A professional sommelier leads the tasting, explaining the character, production methods, and terroir behind each wine.
What wines will I taste?
The curated selection features 1 crisp white wine and 3 red wines from the Chianti region, each chosen to showcase a different grape variety, ageing technique, or vineyard character. The sommelier explains the differences in colour, aroma, and flavour as you work through the tasting.
What food is served?
After the tasting, a multi-course Tuscan dinner is served featuring regional dishes prepared with local ingredients. The menu is designed to complement the wines you have just tasted, with courses that reflect traditional Chianti cooking.
Where is the experience held?
The venue is a villa estate in Barberino Tavarnelle, roughly 40 minutes south of Florence by car. The Chianti Classico zone is known for its rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves. Transport is not included, so you will need to arrange your own travel to the venue.
