More than 75 years running, English National Ballet’s Nutcracker is London’s ultimate holiday ritual. From the first flourish of violins to the final snowfall, over 100 dancers, musicians and stage crew conjure a Victorian Christmas Eve awash with twinkling candles and sugar-dust dreams. Wayne Eagling’s choreography keeps Sir Peter Wright’s classic storytelling while injecting fleet new footwork—Clara vaults through double assemblés, and the Mouse King commands a tumbling corps of acrobats.
