Becky Shaw Tickets: A Razor-Sharp Comedy on Broadway

Gina Gionfriddo's Becky Shaw comes to Broadway at the Hayes Theater, directed by Trip Cullman. This Pulitzer Prize finalist is a dark, wickedly funny comedy about a blind date gone horribly wrong and the moral obligations we owe to strangers and the people we love.

The Story

Newlyweds Suzanna and Andrew attempt to play matchmaker by setting up Andrew's co-worker, the enigmatic Becky Shaw, on a date with Suzanna's adoptive brother Max. What begins as a well-intentioned setup takes increasingly dark turns as Becky's true nature is revealed, and the characters are forced to confront uncomfortable questions about responsibility, manipulation, and what we really owe to other people. Gionfriddo's script keeps the moral ground shifting constantly.

Cast and Creative Team

Directed by Trip Cullman, the cast features Alden Ehrenreich as Max and Linda Emond as Susan, alongside Patrick Ball, Madeline Brewer, and Lauren Patten. Gionfriddo is a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist whose writing combines acerbic humor with genuine psychological depth.
