Stroll through cobbled streets lined with baroque buildings, visit the blue tower of Dürnstein Abbey, trek to the castle ruins where Richard the Lionheart was held, or simply soak up Wachau Valley’s UNESCO World Heritage scenery. Shop for local crafts and taste famous Wachau wines before rejoining the ship.

If you select the alternate cruise to Bratislava, you’ll travel to Slovakia’s vibrant capital with four hours to explore. Discover Bratislava Castle, wander Old Town’s striking squares and shops, and enjoy the panoramic river views from onboard or ashore. Both routes offer ample time away from the vessel but also unique opportunities to relax on the panoramic deck, unwind in a lounge chair, and capture 360-degree river views.

Culinary delights on board

Returning to your ship, savour traditional Viennese apple and curd strudel as an afternoon treat. • Bratislava cruise: 8:00–8:45am boarding at Vienna/Marina, 9:00am departure, breakfast, 11:00am lunch, 12:00pm arrival in Bratislava (4-hour visit), 4:00pm strudel and departure, 6:30pm dinner buffet, 10:00pm return to Vienna/Marina.
