How the Funicular Works

Your journey begins at the Harderbahn station on Brienzstrasse, a short walk from Interlaken Ost railway station. The funicular runs regularly throughout operating hours.

The "Two-Lakes-Bridge" at the summit features a glass floor section, giving you a unique perspective of the valleys below. A castle-themed panorama restaurant provides refreshments (not included in ticket price).

The funicular and summit facilities are fully wheelchair accessible. Temperatures at 1,322 metres are cooler than in Interlaken, so bring layers even during summer months.

You can bring your own food and drinks to the summit. The panorama restaurant serves meals and refreshments but these are not included in your ticket. Arrive 15 minutes before your preferred departure time to avoid queues, especially during peak season.
