Watch 50,000 solar-powered glass spheres transform the Red Centre into a glowing art installation at Bruce Munro's Field of Light. This guided tour takes you from your Yulara hotel to a remote desert location near Uluru, where you'll witness one of Australia's most striking outdoor art experiences against the backdrop of the world's most famous monolith.

Your evening begins with sunset drinks and canapés at a dune top viewing area overlooking the installation site. As darkness falls, the field comes alive with gentle, coloured lights that pulse and change across the desert landscape. Follow marked pathways on a self-guided walk through the installation, taking in the contrast between the glowing spheres and the star-filled outback sky above.

Good to Know

The experience lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes including transfers. Hotel pickup is provided from selected accommodations in Yulara. The installation is not wheelchair accessible due to uneven desert terrain, so a reasonable level of mobility is required.

Wear comfortable walking shoes suitable for desert paths and bring a jacket as outback evenings can become quite cool. A camera is recommended to capture the light installation against the night sky. The tour operates regardless of weather conditions.
