ARTECHOUSE has worked with NASA scientists to interpret the frontier-pushing data NASA collects about our universe in a visible, tangible way for people to interact with. This data is then brought to life with experiential storytelling, immersing you into the timeless story of light and inspiring your curiosity for what else is possible.

Cutting-Edge Technology

This captivating art experience was developed with the latest technologies, including AI-aided visual production. An original musical score created from galactic data, and stunning imagery from the James Webb Space Telescope come together to make Beyond the Light a multi-sensory, compelling and unforgettable journey.

The Exhibition

The exhibition centers on a 25-minute gorgeous cinematic journey, chronicling how we have observed and experienced light throughout history. With the exquisite universe as its backdrop, you will experience the importance of light in our pursuit of knowledge and the evolution of technology, ranging from Newton’s prism design, to the digital age, to the most recent discoveries of the James Webb Space Telescope, and finally to the possibilities of what is to come. There are also six more installations that explore the moon, heliophysics, climate science, the biosphere, and NASA Spinoffs.

ARTECHOUSE NYC

ARTECHOUSE NYC is an intimate digital arts space and one of the most unique art locations in New York City. As a permanent part of the NYC art landscape, we are nestled in the heart of a 100-year-old restored boiler room beneath the iconic Chelsea Market.

As a pioneer in the field of experiential art, it creates, produces, and presents innovative technology-driven exhibitions, expanding the possibilities of art and how we experience it. From immersive art experiences to an extended reality (XR) mobile app, ARTECHOUSE is where curiosity-seekers of all ages go to experience creative innovation without limits.

The ARTECHOUSE Studio

The ARTECHOUSE Studio is a diverse collective of designers, architects, producers, and storytellers. They collaborate to transform innovative ideas and concepts into groundbreaking experiences powered by technology. Beyond the Light is the latest in a series of projects where the team have worked with industry leaders from such well-known institutions as the Society for Neuroscience, Pantone Color Institute, and the Nobel Prize Museum. They have also worked with others to bring their expertise to realize complex and multifaceted presentations.

Admission & Hours

ARTECHOUSE is open every day of the week from 10AM – 10PM. The last session begins at 9pm each day. Sessions begin every 30 minutes and last for 60 minutes. Ticket prices will vary depending on timing and availability. There are discounts available for students, seniors, military & first responders, and families.
