율라라 가이드
Few places on earth carry the weight of Yulara's surroundings. The township sits at the edge of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in Australia's Red Centre, a vast sandstone landscape in the Northern Territory where the desert light shifts from ochre to deep crimson depending on the hour and the season. Yulara itself is a purpose-built resort community, the only permanent settlement permitted within reach of Uluru, and its entire reason for existing is to place visitors as close as possible to one of the world's most recognisable natural formations without encroaching on the protected land itself.
Uluru, the great sandstone monolith sacred to the Anangu people, rises 348 metres from the flat desert plain and measures nearly ten kilometres around its base. The Anangu have lived in connection with this country for tens of thousands of years, and their relationship with Uluru, known in Tjukurpa as the living law of the land, shapes how the site is experienced today. Since the climbing of the rock was permanently closed in 2019, the emphasis has shifted entirely to ground-level engagement: walking the base, listening, and learning through guided interpretation rather than conquest.
