From the port here, ferries cross to Isla de Lobos, a tiny uninhabited island named for the monk seals that once gathered on its shores. The crossing takes roughly twenty minutes and delivers you to a place of near-complete quiet, volcanic rock, and clear shallow water. A catamaran sailing tour out to Lobos, with lunch and drinks included, is among the more popular ways to spend a day from Corralejo, and it is easy to understand why: the combination of the channel crossing, the island's stillness, and the return sail in the afternoon light is genuinely difficult to replicate elsewhere on the island.
