Your tour begins near Denfert-Rochereau Metro station, where you'll meet your guide 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. The experience involves descending 130 steps to reach the entrance and climbing back up at the exit, so moderate fitness is required. The tunnels maintain a constant cool temperature of around 14°C (57°F) year-round and can be damp, so bring a light jacket.

Flash photography is strictly prohibited inside the Catacombs, though regular photography without flash is permitted. The tunnels feature uneven surfaces and narrow passages, making them unsuitable for wheelchairs, strollers, or those with mobility issues. There's only one restroom facility available at the exit.

Security checks may occur at entry, so arrive with time to spare. No food or drink is allowed in the tunnels, and you must stay with your group throughout the tour for safety reasons. The tour concludes near the Catacombs exit, putting you back in modern Paris after your underground journey.
