Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum Tickets

Step onto Ford Island and walk through authentic World War II hangars still bearing bullet holes from the December 7, 1941 attack. The Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum houses over 50 restored aircraft in Hangars 37 and 79, the very buildings that witnessed the infamous Pearl Harbor assault. You'll encounter everything from WWII fighters and bombers to modern jets, each telling stories of Pacific theatre aviation history.

The museum's star attraction is the "Swamp Ghost," a B-17 bomber recovered from a Papua New Guinea swamp after more than 60 years. Walk among meticulously restored aircraft whilst examining pilot memorabilia, mission logs, and authentic uniforms from airmen who served in the Pacific conflict. Interactive displays and recreated battleground settings help you understand the strategic importance of Pearl Harbor and the human stories behind every mission.

Plan Your Visit to Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum

The museum is located on Ford Island at the heart of Pearl Harbor. Visitors without military clearance must take the complimentary shuttle from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center to reach the museum. All major exhibits are housed indoors, providing year-round comfort regardless of Hawaii's weather.

Allow at least 2-3 hours to explore both hangars thoroughly. The self-guided audio tour lets you explore at your own pace, focusing on the technical, tactical, or personal aspects that interest you most. Children aged 3 and under enter free, making this an excellent educational stop for families visiting Hawaii's historic sites.

Important to note: bags are not permitted on the shuttle or inside the museum. Secure bag storage is available near the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center for a small fee.
