Skiers in full kit walk the same cobbled paths as summer hikers and mountain bikers, and the village functions across all four seasons rather than shutting down between snowfalls. Upper Village, a quieter cluster around the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, offers a slightly different pace, and the residential neighbourhoods of Creekside to the south retain the character of the original settlement before the resort infrastructure arrived.
