Until May 12th, 2024: Consuelo Kanaga: Capturing the Spirit Explore nearly sixty years of American photographer Consuelo Kanaga’s groundbreaking work. Kanaga’s images document pressing social realities, including urban hardship, the struggle for workers’ rights, racial inequality and everyday life. Her sensitive portrayal of African American communities stands as a testament to documentary photography’s influence on social awareness. Nearly 500 vintage photographs and rare materials chart the radical vision of this important artist.

The Domestic Camera: Photographic Hobby in Catalonia (ca. 1880-1936) This show investigates the rise of amateur photography in Catalonia prior to the Civil War. It traces the first era when personal narratives could be captured and shared independent of professional studios.
