锈 指南
Rust is a small town on the Upper Rhine plain in Baden-Württemberg, sitting close to the French border and within easy reach of Freiburg im Breisgau to the south and Strasbourg across the river to the west. Its population numbers only a few thousand, and the surrounding landscape is characteristically flat, agricultural, and threaded with the quiet waterways of the Rhine floodplain. None of that would ordinarily place it on an international travel map, yet Rust draws millions of visitors each year, making it one of the most visited destinations in Germany by sheer footfall. The reason is straightforward: Europa-Park, the country's largest theme park and one of the most attended in Europe, occupies a vast site on the edge of town and has done so since the Mack family, a dynasty of ride manufacturers, opened it in 1975.
Europa-Park is organised around the conceit of a grand European tour compressed into a single day. Its themed areas represent individual countries, from Scandinavia to Greece, each rendered with a degree of architectural and culinary specificity that goes beyond the purely decorative. The park has grown steadily over five decades and now encompasses dozens of major rides, live entertainment stages, hotels, and restaurants, with the result that a single day can feel genuinely insufficient for anyone who wants to move through it without rushing. The 1-Day Admission Ticket remains the standard entry point for most visitors, while the 2-Day Admission Ticket suits those who prefer a more measured pace or who want to revisit particular areas on a second morning when queues are shorter.
