利瑟 指南
Few places in the Netherlands carry as concentrated a sense of seasonal spectacle as Lisse. Tucked into the bulb-growing heartland of South Holland, roughly halfway between Haarlem and Leiden, this small town sits at the centre of a landscape that transforms entirely between late March and mid-May, when the flower fields surrounding it turn into broad horizontal bands of colour stretching to the horizon. The Keukenhof gardens, which open for a limited window each spring on the southern edge of town, draw visitors from across Europe and beyond, and with good reason: the estate covers more than 32 hectares and has been a showcase for Dutch bulb growers since 1950.
The fields themselves, though, are the real spectacle, and they extend well beyond any garden boundary. The Bollenstreek, the bulb-growing strip that runs along the coastal dune belt between Haarlem and Leiden, is best understood at low speed and close range. A guided bike tour through the tulip fields around Amsterdam and Lisse makes that possible in a way that a car window simply does not, placing you level with the blooms and among the working agricultural land that most visitors only glimpse from a coach. The flat terrain and well-maintained cycling infrastructure of this part of South Holland make the experience genuinely accessible rather than strenuous.
