基尔希贝格 指南
Kilchberg sits on the western shore of Lake Zurich, a quiet municipality of vineyards and well-kept villas that most visitors pass through on their way to the city without quite realising what they have skirted. That oversight is understandable. Kilchberg belongs to the canton of Zurich, and its identity is bound up with the lake itself, with the gentle slopes rising behind the shoreline, and with a particular kind of Swiss prosperity that expresses itself in restraint rather than spectacle. The writer Thomas Mann spent his final years here, and the churchyard where he is buried draws the occasional literary pilgrim, though the village makes no great fuss about the fact.
The most famous name associated with Kilchberg today is not a person but a product. The Lindt and Sprungli chocolate factory has been based here since 1898, and the Lindt Home of Chocolate, which opened in 2020 on the factory grounds, has become one of the more talked-about attractions in the greater Zurich area. The museum traces the full history of chocolate from its Mesoamerican origins through to the Swiss confectionery tradition, and the centrepiece is a chocolate fountain of considerable height. For visitors combining a trip to Kilchberg with time in Zurich itself, the Lindt Home of Chocolate pairs naturally with the FIFA Museum in the city, which occupies a permanent home in Zurich's Seefeld district and covers the global history of football with a collection that runs to thousands of objects and interactive displays.
