Ang iyong gabay sa Piso Livadi
Piso Livadi sits on the eastern coast of Paros, a Cycladic island in the Aegean Sea, and it wears its fishing-village character without apology. The small harbour, lined with caiques and tavernas, has none of the frantic energy that overtakes some of the more famous ports in the Greek islands during summer. Instead, the pace here is set by the water, the light, and the particular quality of Aegean afternoons when the meltemi wind drops and the sea goes flat and silver.
Paros itself occupies a central position in the Cyclades, both geographically and historically. The island was prized in antiquity for its translucent white marble, the same stone used for the Venus de Milo and many of the great works of classical sculpture. That legacy is still visible in the architecture of Parikia, the island's capital, where the Panagia Ekatontapyliani, one of the oldest and best-preserved Byzantine churches in Greece, anchors the old town. Piso Livadi, by contrast, was historically a modest loading point for marble and agricultural goods, which explains its practical, unhurried layout and the absence of the fortified hilltop villages found elsewhere on the island.
