Booking Your Flight

Do I need a reservation for a HeliNY helicopter tour? Advanced reservations are not strictly required but highly recommended as our tours sell out more often than not. To guarantee your spot, especially during peak seasons like Christmas, New Year's, and Easter we recommend booking as far in advance as possible.

How far in advance should I book my tour? We suggest booking at least two weeks in advance. For peak times, consider booking even earlier to ensure availability.

Are children welcome on HeliNY tours? Yes, children 2 years and older must have their own seat per FAA regulations. Children under 2 may sit on an adult's lap at no charge. Please indicate if you'll have a lap child when booking.

What is the best time of day to fly? Any time is ideal, depending on the weather. We recommend scheduling around your plans as weather can be unpredictable, especially in winter when the days are shorter.

Can I book a private tour? To ensure a private tour, you must reserve all six seats in the helicopter. There are no discounts for booking a full helicopter.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Will my flight be canceled if it rains? Light rain doesn't usually affect flights, but in cases of poor visibility or severe weather, flights may be canceled or rescheduled.

What if my flight is cancelled due to weather conditions? As safety is our top priority, unfortunately sometimes we must cancel tours due to inclement weather. If this is the case we will do our best to reschedule your flight as soon as possible. For this reason we recommend booking your helicopter tour as early in your visit to New York as possible. In the event we cannot find a suitable time for rescheduling your tour a full refund will be provided.

Can I reschedule my flight?

It is sometimes possible to reschedule a tour in advance, however this is subject to fess and availability.

Is there parking available at the Heliport? There's no parking at the heliport, but nearby garages are available at South Street & Whitehall Street and South Street Seaport (Pier 17).

Is there a weight limit for passengers? The weight limit is 275 lbs per passenger. We may need to adjust flight arrangements for safety if passengers are close to this limit. The weight of all passengers is verified my scale for accuracy.

Can I take pictures during the flight? Yes, once inside the helicopter. However, for safety reasons, photos are not allowed while walking to and from the helicopter.

What are the seating arrangements? Seating is determined by passenger weights to ensure a balanced flight. We cannot guarantee specific seats in advance.
