Arriving at Liria Palace

Begin at the Puerta de Carruajes, where staff will scan your smartphone ticket. Stow your items in provided lockers so you can move freely through the palace. Plan to arrive on time, as late entry is not possible.

Step inside the neoclassical Liria Palace, the residence of the House of Alba, a family that has shaped Spanish history. Your ticket includes entry to the temporary 'Flamboyant' exhibition by Joana Vasconcelos, open until July 31, 2025. Immerse yourself in Vasconcelos’ bold, playful installations, which create a vibrant contrast to the traditional interiors. The exhibition takes a circular route which lets you experience both the palace’s heritage and the artist’s contemporary vision.

Personalised exploration with digital audio guide

At the beginning of your visit, scan a QR code to download the audio guide (available in six languages). The digital guide, with insights including commentary by Joana Vasconcelos, covers the palace’s storied halls, art collection and family history, letting you explore at your own pace and according to your interests.

Optional expert-led guided tour

For a more curated experience, select the ticket upgrade for a 90-minute group tour led by a Spanish-speaking guide. Your expert leader brings decades of history and art alive, weaving together facts about the House of Alba and behind-the-scenes anecdotes about the palace. Small group sizes ensure a personal, interactive exploration.

Facilities and additional experiences

Facilities include a cloakroom/storage space for your belongings and an on-site store accessible with a ticket. The ground and first floors are accessible for visitors with mobility requirements, though the gardens are not adapted for wheelchair use. Guide dogs are welcome to accompany you inside the palace. Please accompany any children under 14 at all times for their safety and comfort.

Important guidelines

To preserve the palace and its collection, visitors may not bring food, large bags, or umbrellas, and photography is not permitted anywhere inside. Please do not touch artworks, sit on antique furniture or run within the rooms. Smoking is not allowed inside or in the gardens.
