Age suitability

Children under 3 years old are free, but children between 3-11 years old require a child's ticket. Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Know before you go

Before your visit to the Kennedy Space Center, make sure to bring a valid photo ID, wear comfortable shoes, and arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled entry time. You can also consider bringing a power bank for your phone and a refillable water bottle. The complex has wheelchair accessibility, but it's recommended to reserve a wheelchair or ECV in advance. Location and Getting There

Address: Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Space Commerce Way, Merritt Island, FL 32953. The Visitor Complex is approximately 45 minutes east of Orlando via FL-528 (Beachline Expressway). From Orlando International Airport, take FL-528 east to FL-407 north, then follow signs to Kennedy Space Center. Free parking is available on site.

Opening Hours

Kennedy Space Center is open daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Hours may vary on holidays and during special events. The last bus tour departs at 2:30pm daily. Arrive early to experience all attractions.

How Long to Spend

Allow 6 to 8 hours to see the main attractions including Space Shuttle Atlantis, the bus tour to the Apollo/Saturn V Center, Heroes and Legends and the Rocket Garden. Space enthusiasts often spend a full day or return for a second day.

Bus Tour Timing

The bus tour to the Apollo/Saturn V Center is included with admission and highly recommended. Buses depart continuously from the Visitor Complex. The last bus departs at 2:30pm. Plan to spend 2 to 3 hours at the Apollo/Saturn V Center before catching a return bus.

Blackout Dates

Promo tickets are not valid on blackout dates, including during major rocket launches and Delta Heavy launches. Check the launch schedule before booking if you want to combine your visit with a launch viewing.

Rocket Launches

Kennedy Space Center is an active launch facility. Rocket launches are scheduled throughout the year by NASA, SpaceX and other commercial partners. Launch viewing tickets are available separately. Check the launch schedule at NASA.gov for upcoming missions.

Food and Drink

Several dining options are available throughout the Visitor Complex, including the Orbit Cafe, Moon Rock Cafe and Space Dots ice cream. Soft-sided coolers with packed food and non-glass drink containers are permitted inside.

What to Bring

Bring valid photo ID for ticket redemption. Soft-sided coolers and backpacks are allowed. Glass bottles and containers are prohibited. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as the complex covers a large area.

Accessibility

Kennedy Space Center is wheelchair accessible with accessible restrooms throughout. Wheelchairs and ECVs are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Service animals are welcome.

Weather

Florida weather can be hot and humid, especially in summer. Many exhibits are indoors and air-conditioned. Bring sunscreen, hats and water for outdoor areas including the Rocket Garden and bus tour stops.

Cancellation Policy

Kennedy Space Center tickets cannot be canceled or rescheduled once purchased. Select your date carefully before booking.
