Fallen Angels Tickets: Noel Coward's Scandalous Comedy on Broadway

Noel Coward's Fallen Angels comes to the Todd Haimes Theatre starring Rose Byrne and Kelli O'Hara, directed by Scott Ellis. Written in 1925, this English comedy caused a moral panic at its premiere for its frank depiction of married women admitting to premarital affairs, and its wit and bite have lost nothing in the century since.

The Story

Two upper-class married women, Jane and Julia, are spending a dull afternoon away from their husbands when they discover a shared secret: both had pre-marital affairs with the same charming Frenchman, Maurice. When a telegram arrives hinting that Maurice may be returning to London, old rivalries resurface, jealousies flare, and a great deal of champagne is consumed. Coward's comedy dissects desire, hypocrisy, and the conventions of marriage with razor-sharp dialogue.

Directed by nine-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis, the production stars Rose Byrne and Kelli O'Hara, with Mark Consuelos, Tracee Chimo, Christopher Fitzgerald, and Aasif Mandvi. This is a Roundabout Theatre Company production.
