Frameless London: What to Expect & How to Plan

What is Frameless?

Frameless is London's largest permanent immersive digital art experience, located in Marble Arch. Across four enormous galleries, classic masterpieces by artists like Monet, Kandinsky, Cezanne, and Klimt are projected in vivid, room-filling detail. You walk through the art rather than standing in front of it, with projections covering floors, walls, and ceilings while an atmospheric soundtrack plays around you.

The Four Galleries

Beyond: A surreal journey into the subconscious world of Dali, Magritte, and other Surrealist masters. Expect melting clocks, impossible architecture, and dreamlike landscapes surrounding you from every angle.

Colour in Motion: Dive into the vivid palettes of Kandinsky, Klee, and Delaunay. This gallery is all about movement and abstraction, with geometric forms and bold colours dancing across the space.

The World Around Us: The Impressionists take centre stage here. Monet's water lilies ripple across the floor, Renoir's gardens bloom on the walls, and Cezanne's landscapes stretch to fill the room.

Flower Power: A celebration of botanical art spanning centuries, from Dutch Golden Age still lifes to Van Gogh's sunflowers and Japanese woodblock prints.

Planning Your Visit

How long does it take? Most visitors spend 60 to 90 minutes. There's no set route, so you can linger in the galleries that interest you most and revisit favourites.

Best time to visit: Weekday mornings are the quietest. Weekend afternoons get busy, especially during school holidays. Late slots (if available) also tend to be calmer.

Getting there: Frameless is at the Marble Arch end of Oxford Street, a short walk from Marble Arch tube station (Central line). See our London transport guide for more tips.

Photography: Photos and videos are encouraged. The projections create stunning backdrops, and some visitors come specifically for the photo opportunities.

Is it suitable for children? Yes. There are no age restrictions and children generally love the immersive environment. It's a great alternative to a traditional gallery visit, especially for younger visitors experiencing art for the first time.

Tickets and Prices

Timed entry tickets are required and selling out in advance is common, particularly for weekends. Compare prices and availability on tickadoo to find the best deal. Off-peak tickets are often cheaper than peak times.

What Else is Nearby?

Frameless sits right at Marble Arch, so you're steps away from Hyde Park, Selfridges, and the West End theatre district. If you're making a day of it, pair Frameless with a walk through Hyde Park or a West End show in the evening.
